Warsaw's municipal transport consists of city buses, trams, suburban buses and the underground (metro). There are regular city lines, which run every day, as well as periodic city lines, which run on work days and during peak hours. You can use most of the lines between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m. on working days. Be aware of the fact that they are usually full in rush hours.

The same tickets are valid for all the means of municipal transport, including city and suburban lines and the metro. Tickets can be bought in kiosks, ticket machines located at stops, or from the driver. Tickets must be punched in special machines inside buses and trams. In metro – before getting on the platform (peron).

Warsaw's Metro has one short line (15,7 km), which joins the city center with its southern part. The metro operates between 5 a.m. and 0.15 p.m. and the trains run every 5 minutes during peak hours, and every 8 minutes outside peak hours.
