Warsaw has three large railway stations for international and intercity connections: Western Warsaw Station (Warszawa Zachodnia), Eastern Warsaw Station (Warszawa Wschodnia) and Central Warsaw Station (Warszawa Centralna), (along the same east- west line).

The best place to get on and off trains is the Central Station, located in the heart of the city centre In the underground and overground levels of the Station there are: a pharmacy, a post office, exchange bureaux (kantors), cash machines, numerous shops and kiosks, fast- food bars and bookshops. In the main hall there is tourist information office (near the railway information office).

Those who wish to reach the right- bank, eastern parts of Warsaw should get off at Eastern Warsaw Station (Warszawa Wschodnia). If your journey is to be continued by coach, you should get off at Western Warsaw Station (Warszawa Zachodnia). There, in the main hall, next to the ticket offices, you will find a tourist information counter.

Suburban trains operate from the following stations: Warszawa Śródmieście, Wschodnia, Zachodnia, Powiśle, Ochota, Wileńska.
