Sports in Warsaw
Warsaw is rich in sports facilities. Just go to any park and there are football fields, places where you can play squash, go cycling, horse-riding, and I could go on and on. For the health nuts, there are also highly equipped fitness clubs you could go to. A haven for golfers is just around the corner as golf courses are just a stone’s throw away from the parks. Kampinoski Primeval Forest, which is just a short drive away from the city, is a place where you can take your family to see the animals. It is a place where hares, does and squirrels run freely. After a long day, it is time to relax and go to a sauna, Jacuzzi or hot relaxing baths.
Warsaw’s Biggest Park
Occupying about 76 hectares of the city, Lazienki Park, or Park Lazienkowski in Polish, is Warsaw’s biggest park. It used to be a summer retreat for the Royals, because the park was originally the Royal’s Palace park. Small lakes, amazing sculptures and majestic trees environ the park. It has become a favorite place to relax or go for a stroll for families, lovers, and tourists, alike. On some days, you can be lucky to attend a photo exhibition. You can’t claim to have been in Warsaw if you didn’t pay a visit or a stroll around Lazienki Park. With its charming atmosphere and artistic landscapes, your visit will surely be hard to forget.
