Things to do in Warsaw

There are lots of things to do in Warsaw, and many impressive historical sites to see. Warsaw's old town is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. This part of the city was completely destroyed during World War II, and then quickly rebuilt in the following years. The royal castle is also a UNESCO world heritage site and should be at the top of many tourists list. For a history of the region visiting the Warsaw uprising Museum is a worthwhile experience, and for a taste of nature visiting one of the many parks inside and around the city should also be considered.

Warsaw shopping

Warsaw shopping does not have a lot to offer tourists who love to shop. There are many shopping malls in Warsaw, however they are usually quite spread out and not confined to any one shopping district; therefore be prepared to travel a lot if you wish to visit various shopping centers. Arkadia is famous for being the largest mall in Europe, unfortunately just because it is the largest does not mean it is the best. There are many other more worthwhile shopping destinations in Europe and around the globe, therefore go to Warsaw for the culture and the entertainment; but definitely not for the shopping.

Warsaw hotel - Warsaw restaurant

Warsaw, like a few other older European cities, offer campgrounds as a unique alternative for travelers on a budget looking for Warsaw Hotel; additionally like a lot of other European cities Warsaw has several hostels for students and travelers. Across-the-board hotels and more side tend to be rather inexpensive, so feel free to pricier options and stay at a nicer hotel if your budget allows. Warsaw is not a city known for its cuisine, yet there are few surprises in store for travelers looking for a Warsaw restaurant. Interestingly Vietnamese and Turkish restaurants are quite popular all throughout the city and offer good food at a reasonable price. Tourists should definitely want to check out the "milk bars" located throughout the city and taste very interesting concoctions all based off of dairy products; an interesting throwback from the communist era.
